It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of YOUNG SON Javon Jackson. Javon ‘passed through’ Blue Nile in 2000. As many of you already know, Javon graduated from the University of Buffalo on last Saturday, May 9th with a degree in electrical engineering and was, unfortunately, killed the same evening while celebrating with friends. This has been a high profile media case and, again, most of you have probably heard about it. The viewing AND funeral will both take place at Abyssinian Church on this Friday, May 15th. The arraignments are as follows:

Viewing:
2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral:
8:00 p.m

The Family will meet at the church Saturday morning, May 16 at 10:00 a.m. and proceed to Rosehill Cemetery, 355 East Linden Avenue, Linden, NJ 07036 for interment.

The family has asked that flowers be sent directly to Abyssinian Church. Anyone looking to send money to the family can do so by sending a check or money order payable to Javon’s mother, Theresa Williams. I am asking all members of “The Village’ who are able to attend to do so by wearing your Blue Nile sash. The mother has requested=2 0a BN sash be placed in his casket. Elder Nolen is Javon’s mentor. He and I have been in constant contact with Javon’s mother and have been supporting her and offering the services of the organization. Please keep Javon’s family, mother Theresa Williams and his young sister, Mya, 9, in prayer.
